The second trimester will be coming to a close on March 3, 2017.  All late work will be accepted up to February 24, 2017. After February 24th, late work will no longer be accepted for partial credit. 

Root Word Quiz 6 will be on Thursday, February 16, 2017 (25 points).

The group presentation will be due on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 of the Embedded Assessment 1 found on page 216-217. The Argumentative Essay will be due on Friday, February 17, 2017.

Using the rhetorical devices covered in class, identify how ethos, pathos, or logos is used in the following close reading assignment (30 points).

Complete the assigned vocabulary and read the article. In class quiz will be on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 (10 points). The quiz is available online for your review. 

 

**Due to issues with Zinc, you may choose to complete the Zinc assignment, or bring in an article on a controversial issue of your choosing. All students must be prepared to discuss their articles.
