Our 8th-grade students were invited to participate in The American Institue of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) National Annual Essay Contest. Our PVIS students did an amazing job with their submissions. Our winners are listed below.
The essays were scored according to the evaluation criteria in the following categories: Originality (25 points); Soundness of logic (25 points); Realism (30 points); Quality of composition (20 points) with a maximum possible score of 100 points. Average scores ranged from 58 to 94. Scores in each criteria were based on weightings used in past essay contests.
