PVIS Families,
Thank you for your generous donations for our wildfire relief to benefit families of Pasadena Unified/Parent Education Foundation. We have raised 2k thus far and plan to continue the drive until the end of the month. Our goal is to raise 5k in gift cards. If you would like to donate our Leadership students are collecting during morning drop-off.
Our basketball and soccer teams played at RIS this week and did well. Our basketball teams, boys and girls won their games. Boys soccer won and the girl's team came away with a tie.
Next week, Ms. Egan and I will visit all classrooms to continue our discussions on 'student expectations' and the Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS) we introduced at the start of the school year. Establishing a successful partnership with families and students begins with clear communication and shared expectations. As middle school educators, our role is to guide students and help prepare them for success at the secondary level and beyond, focusing on academic, personal/social, and career/college readiness. During our visits, we will address topics such as citizenship, school policies, coping strategies/mediation, and available campus resources.
