PVIS School Nurse, Ms. Rally Honored
Our School Nurse, Rally was honored this week by the PVE City Council for her life-saving efforts last year for a PVIS student in distress. Every day Rally exemplifies compassion and professionalism with our students, families, and staff- she is humble and hard-working.
She holds a critical role and her presence ensures that students with medical needs can participate fully in school activities, knowing they have support readily available. This helps to create a safer and more inclusive learning environment for everyone.
Your child's health and safety are always our top priority, and our school nurse plays a vital role in making that possible. We are grateful to have her as a part of our PVIS community.

We are committed to creating a safe and supportive environment where every student can succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. To help achieve this goal, PVIS implements Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS).
What is PBIS?
PBIS is a proactive approach to promoting positive behavior and creating a school culture where students are encouraged to make good choices. The system is designed to support students in learning and practicing behaviors that contribute to a positive school environment. At the middle school level, PBIS focuses on teaching and reinforcing clear expectations for how students should behave in various settings (classrooms, hallways, etc.). Students are recognized for following these expectations, helping to build a school culture where positive behavior is encouraged and celebrated. We refer to this as being our PVIS “BEST,” where we believe all students can--
- Be safe
- Encourage kindness
- Show integrity
- Take action
How You Can Support PBIS at Home
We encourage you to talk with your child about the importance of positive behavior both at school, at home, and in the community. When you reinforce the same positive behaviors and expectations, it strengthens what students are learning at school. By discussing school behavior expectations, praising positive actions, and responding to inappropriate behaviors, you help create consistency that sets your child up for success both academically and socially. Your involvement helps strengthen the connection between school and home, which benefits your child's development and, ultimately, helps create a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment for all our students.
Thank you for your continued support.
