PVIS Families,
February is Black History Month, and we will be honoring, educating, and celebrating with a door poster contest featuring important people who have contributed to society. Students will work with their teachers and peers to create the posters while also learning about the person.
At PVIS, we believe school is a safe place for all students to learn and grow as humans. Recognizing and appreciating diversity is essential to that growth. I invite all our families to take some time to talk with your students about Black History, visit a historical landmark like Biddy Mason Park, Bruce's Beach, or read an article like the one below about Cheney State.
