B.E.S.T. Pizza Student Recognition Winners!
Sea Kings Families,
Welcome back to school! It was great to see all our students refreshed, renewed, and ready to finish the school year strong. The new year is a great time to check in, a midway point for us, both professionally and personally. At PVIS, we reflect once again on the achievements we have accomplished and refocus on what is next.
We are most proud of our gains in human connections as evidenced by our Healthy Kids Survey data from last year. We set out three years ago to improve in three specific categories: “School Connectedness” (+8%) identifying “Caring Adult Relationships” (+10%), and “Meaningful Participation in School” (+10 %). Connections to each other improve culture and a positive culture improves student achievement. Our increases are related to caring adults in our community and on our site. I thank all of you for playing your part, no one else can. :)
Have a wonderful week and best of luck this year!
Micah J. Farrell, Principal

Student Expectations & PVIS BEST Classroom Presentations
PVIS administrators will present and review our PVIS BEST- student expectations at the end of the month with all students through social studies classes. We strongly believe that these presentations, given once at the start of the year and once midway, are an effective strategy to communicate expectations to students. It also allows us to connect and share resources for support and field questions.
