Sea Kings Families,
October in PVPUSD is a busy time, with big events like Red Ribbon Week, PEF Toast on the Coast, and Skechers Walk. Your commitment to your kids and our Sea King community is THE driving force behind all of these events. Support from our families financially and through service ensure our Sea Kings have access to unparalleled experiences and future opportunities that continue to push our District to the top, year after year.
Through innovation, our STEM labs are equipped with technology our brilliant teachers use to introduce students to concepts, programs, and collaboration that many colleges use. Our PTSA helps to fund field trips every year, that our teachers align to the curriculum, and deepen learning. Boosters help fund our athletic programs that help our students learn teamwork, leadership, commitment, and most importantly, sportsmanship. The games at Parras this week inspired my message today, as both of our teams didn't come away with a win on the field, but a win in character. I saw coaches, positive adults, pick kids up and inspire them to learn from the loss, practice, and work hard for the next challenge in life.
Have a great week!
Micah J. Farrell, Principal

Did you know that students receive a Citizenship grade in addition to an Academic grade each trimester? Citizenship is an important part of helping students be their BEST at school. Work habits, like coming to class prepared, and positive behaviors, like paying attention in class and working well with others, create an environment conducive to learning and lead to individual student success.
We believe all Sea Kings are capable of being “Super Sea Kings,” that is earning nothing less than O’s (outstanding) and S’s (satisfactory) in Citizenship each trimester. As part of our PBIS approach, we love to recognize students for their pro-social behaviors and do this in the following ways: Fri-Yays and the BEST Domino's pizza raffle, the monthly SPARK awards (for Students Practicing Attitudes of Respect and Kindness), and our Super Sea King designation every trimester.
Progress Reports are now available to view in Aeries. If your student earned a Citizenship grade of an N or U, it will be noted. This is a great time to speak with your child(ren) about our school-wide expectations, as well as your expectations for them at home and at school. PVIS acknowledges that students thrive when families and schools work together towards a common goal, and we thank you for your continuous support.
