Over this six-week workshop, students will have the opportunity to get their feet wet in a theater. We will start by getting to know how a theater space functions as we get to know each other. Then we will work together to learn about all the steps that go into creating a production, from devising a piece, to producing and designing it. Students will even have the opportunity to observe a tech rehearsal for a Peninsula Drama production. Great for any student who is passionate about theater or even just a little bit curious about writing, directing, designing or performing. Open to all students, grades 5-8, this is a low-pressure opportunity to come into a theater and get yourselves on stage and have some fun. No experience necessary, any level of experience is welcome.
