Monday is a BIG day for us all. Throughout this pandemic school year we have shown resiliency, flexibility, and collaboration- Thank you team!
The remainder of the school year will feel very close to what we once lived pre-pandemic, but I implore each and every one of you to stay vigilant and focused on the health and safety of one another by doing your part.
Welcoming all of our students on to campus will require some adjustments in personal behavior and responsibility. The expectations shared here and those still to come will help us maintain a safe learning and working environment for all students, staff and our community at large.
We expect that all community members will:
- Not send your student to school sick.
- Follow quarantine protocols with respect to travel.
- Wear a face mask or covering at all times when in public spaces and unable to social distance from others.
- Maintain physical social distancing of six feet or more, whenever possible.
- Wash hands frequently and thoroughly.
- Ensure regular use of hand sanitizer in between hand washings.
- Cover mouth and nose if coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid participation in gatherings larger than stated guidelines and where social distancing cannot be maintained.
As we adapt to these new realities and prepare for possible unknowns that lie ahead, we will continue to take a thoughtful and compassionate approach to problem-solving. Remember, there is no challenge too great to be solved with communication. Please allow our teachers and students time to adjust, and settle in to our latest model.
Join me in mastering the art of "practicing the pause"...
Pause before reacting.
Pause before sending that email.
Pause before sending that text.
Pause before posting anything while still processing the situation.
Pause when in doubt.
Pause when frustrated.
Pause when angry.
Pause when stressed.
Reach out for support and let's WORK TOGETHER to finish this year strong and healthy!
