Principal's Update November 8, 2020

Sea Kings Families,  compassion

Allow me to take the time to recognize the hard work and effort that our parents and guardians have shown in supporting our students academically more than ever before. The staff and I appreciate everything you are doing at home to keep us all moving forward.

The pandemic continues to provide us all with an abundance of challenges, it also provides insights about ourselves and our relationships. With that said, I don't think parents and teachers have ever paralleled their roles more closely. We all share the same goal of helping our students succeed academically and grow, socially and emotionally. It is that goal, that we may need to remind ourselves of, when the stress of a given day becomes too much and we can't see the forest through the trees.

There is nothing more important than the wellbeing of our students and families- everything else is secondary. Acknowledging that we are all doing the very best that we can, is critical to our success! Your best is enough and very much appreciated!

-Be Well

GRATITUDE CORNER

“Showing gratitude is one of the simplest yet most powerful
things humans can do for each other.”

Randy Pausch

Showing gratitude improves your overall mental health and mood. People who regularly express gratitude for the positive things in their life are shown to be happier overall, leading to lower rates of stress and depression. Showing gratitude can make you more optimistic, and celebrating more of what we are doing right, will help all of us move forward stronger.
