On Wednesday, February 13, 2019, PVPUSD Board of Education approved Administrative Regulation 5131, which outlines the acceptable use of cell phones and other electronic devices at our elementary, intermediate and high schools. On Monday, March 4, 2019, this policy will officially go into effect at PVIS.

This is a significant change from the current PVIS policy, as it will no longer be permissible for students to use their devices during snack, lunch and passing periods for personal use. Cellular devices are permitted during class time for educational purposes only with teacher permission.

I am requesting your support during this time to help our children make this transition. I am confident that with your support, the transition period will be short and relatively smooth. I look forward to seeing our students truly enjoy the rich social experiences that will help them grow during the middle school years.
