Assignments for the week of 6/1 - 6/5

All work for each week will be due on the Friday of that week. Submit work via Microsoft Teams (attach using paperclip icon). If that does not work, send assignments to my email [email protected] . Please try to send your assignments to me on Friday in one attachment/direct message/email if possible, not each seperately. I recommend downloading Adobe Scan (free App) or a similar scanning app if you have a smartphone to send the week's work in one attachment. Feel free to email or contact me through Microsoft teams if you have questions or concerns.
 
Monday 6/1:Read Ch. 15-1 and 15-2 and complete "Aztec: A to Z Notes ( see detailed instructions on Edlio page).
 
Tuesday 6/2:Read Ch. 15-3 and 15-4 in the textbook.
 
Wednesday 6/3: Read and complete a page of notes on the Inca power-point (see Edlio for detailed instructions).
 
Thursday 6/4, Friday 6/5:  Watch the "America Before Columbus" documentary.  Take down 60 facts and write a one paragraph summary ( see Edlio of detailed instructions).

Activity for Thursday 6/4, Friday 6/5

Watch The "America Before Columbus" documentary that I posted on my Edlio page.  Get out a sheet of paper and title it "America Before Columbus."  the documentary is one hour and ten minutes.  Make sure you start the documentary from the beginning.  You must take 60 facts on the documentary and write a one paragraph summary.  This is worth 25 points.

Activity for Wednesday 6/3

Open and read the Inca power-point I put on my Edlio page.  Get out a sheet of paper and title it "The Inca."  You need to take a page of notes on the power-point.

Activity for Monday 6/1

Read Ch. 15-1 and 15-2 in the textbook (p. 410-421). Get out a sheet of paper and title it "The Aztecs: A to Z notes." You must complete A to Z notes based on the 11 page reading.  Remember each fact must begin with each letter of the alphabet.  These facts should be complete sentences.  We have done thee types of notes many times this year.  You do not need to do the letter "X" although there is an example  for the letter "X" in the book if you are very observant.  I also put up a power-point on the Aztecs on my Edlio page if you want to see some visuals that support the readings.

Tuesday 5/26: Read Ch. 14-1 (see Edlio page for details).
 
Wednesday 5/27, Thursday 5/28: Read Ch. 14-2 and 14-3.  Read the power-point on the Maya and take one page of notes (see Edlio page for detailed instructions).
 
Friday 5/28:  Watch Maya film.  Take either film facts or illustrated notes (see Edlio for detailed instructions).

Activity for Friday 5/29

Watch the film I posted on my Edlio page called "Maya: the Blood of Kings."  Get out a sheet of paper and label it "Maya Film Notes."  You can either take down 40 facts on the film or do 10 illustrated notes with detailed captions.

Activity for Wednesday (5/27) and Thursday (5/28)

Read Ch. 14-2 "The Maya" (p.390-394) and Ch. 14-3 "Maya Life and Society" (p.395-399).  Read the Maya power-point I put on my Edlio page.  Get out a sheet of paper and title it "Maya Notes."  Take a page of notes on the two readings/ power-point.

Monday 5/18: Read Ch. 13-1 in the textbook.  Complete 5 of the 6 vocabulary terms from the reading (see Edlio page for detailed instructions).
 
Tuesday 5/19:  Watch Scientific Revolution Crash Course video posted on my Edlio page and take notes on it (see Edlio page for detailed instructions).
 
Wednesday 5/20: Read Ch. 13-2 in the textbook and answer the questions ( see Edlio page for detailed instructions).
 
Thursday 5/21:Read Ch. 13-3 in the textbook (see instructions on Edlio page).
 
Friday 5/22: Complete the Ch. 13-3 work-sheet posted on my Edlio page (see detailed instructions on my Edlio page).
