Science 6

Course Description

We are now transitioning to an integrated science curriculum. In the past, 6th-grade science focused on Earth science. In the integrated model, we will cover a bit of earth, life, and physical science. The integrated curriculum should help us meet our primary goal of creating a more scientifically literate populace.

Students need to bring to class 3 things.
An agenda book to record our daily calendar.
Something to write with, a pencil or pen.
Something to write on, a science notebook (composition book often performs better than a spiral).

We do not have a textbook. PDFs of the Earth, Life, and Physical science books we have been using are on my home page. We will be using a combination of those books and digital materials throughout the year.
The student notebooks are very important. The students enter all the important information in their own words in their notebooks. All the tests are open notebook.
