Upload your photos on Friday to Assignments on Teams. You should be working on either a paper mâché puppet or by the end of this week have made three shaded drawings of three objects of your choice. The objects should cast a shadow, and it would be great if you could introduce a little bit of color over your pencil shadings. I will show the next steps for the puppet during our Zoom meeting. Upload your shaded, colored drawings to assignments Teams or a photo of your puppet head.

In your Office 365 account, you will find Teams. If you go to your art class, you will see I have posted 3 short how-to videos for shading. Watch them and click the thumbs up symbol so I know you’ve checked in. This is a requirement as part of your grade due TODAY. I would love to see your shading efforts if you would like to photograph and post them. Remember when you post, be kind, respectful, and think before you post. Below is the pear template if you want to try.

In the event that you end up having to work from home:
Complete packet you received in class and draw for at least 10 minutes per day. Date your drawings so I can see that you have kept up with work. You may set up a still life, draw from a photo, or something else that interests you. Fill the paper each time you draw. Be attentive to varying the value (light and dark). Bring your dated drawings with your name on them to class when we return to school.

This is a fun app to download that will inform you about the National Gallery of Art. Make sure it is okay with your parents before you download. I did not have trouble with the app crashing. Save your creations and let’s talk about the artist that inspired you. Have fun!
