Make sure your notebook contains notes on how to use a caliper.
The following key points should be included in your notes.
- A Drawing of the calipers is helpful for showing where you can and can not measure.
- The lower jaws measure outside dimensions.
-The upper jaws measure inside dimensions.
-Do not measure in the lower jaw gap.
-The zero on the moving jaw points to the current setting. If it is at 20 then the jaws are 2 cm apart.
