good morning gains Welcome to our October new show I'm Wally Warner and I'm Patrick door we have a lot of exciting stories to share with you guys let's get started with the weather what's up Kings it's rainy Robert with your weather for this weekend as you can tell coming in Saturday low 57 high of 70 I'm starting to like that and then when we rolling into Sunday low 60 high of 68 and it's going to get a little more cloudy than Saturday hope you things very weakened sending it back to the desk next up we have a story about the Challenger football program for people with special needs hey Kings I'm Grace and I'm Claire today we're here at pvhs helping out with Challengers let's go play some football Challengers is a group of volunteers and players and all the players have some sort of um special needs disability and then the volunteers get paired up and it's a way for them play different sports because they normally don't get to play music um I started challenging football because I participated in challenges basketball and Challengers baseball before and I wanted to share the sport of football with the challengers athlete so the program is 6 1-hour sessions on Sundays at Palace Rudy's high school and we do warm-up stretching and drills like throwing passing and catching running and then at the end we we'll do a fun game like the Sharks and Minnows so the first thing when we signed of Challenger it was because I think it's good that he can try out different sports and see maybe it's going to motivate him to do something all the volunteers they were so nice to you know give their time just to um show them the stuff they know I love to see all these kids smile having awesome fun um I personally I love football I'm a football player for the PB High School football team and I love seeing everybody in Joy football 1 of the great things about Challengers is not only the interaction with the children with special needs but more so I personally think it's much more about the normative uh volunteers and the athletes interacting and learning from the kids with special needs they also learn about becoming comfortable in what shouldn't be an uncomfortable situation what's your favorite part of Challengers football it's fun so like I told this would you like to coach yeah what's your favorite dress down you like the touchdown dance yeah good job good afternoon coal and 5 yes Chloe Mackenzie made a story about the new freshmen cheer team for PV High I like having 3 to your teams because it introduces a lot of new girls to the cheer program at the hospital and it also allows us to make a lot of new friends which is super nice in addition it also gives us games every other week instead of every week so we have time to perfect the routines before we perform them I love it first of all it gives a lot more girls the opportunity to cheer in high school which I think is really important and also the new and they're doing a great job it's super fun to watch next song for a quick break we have a new coffee shop called mesk located in the promo here's our thoughts next coffee shop is a new coffee shop that just opened up in the prominon it has a wide variety of coffee and tea and matcha and Refreshers with our next little big Allen needs so make sure you go check them out if you guys like football team recently had a game against Elsa the current record is 33 what's up what's up what do you think what the score is going to be uh 110 is zero it's half time we're down 67 but you got to be cks we lost 6 to 15 we'll get him next time back to the anchors we have a few other announcements to make our yearbooks are on sale right now which is cool Halloween is on Thursday and the Yankees are playing the Dodgers in the World Series I'm excited to watch thank you for watching c k
